What would you wear to a career interview? That is exactly what Dress for Success wants to distribute to their clients. Your fabulous suits and other professional apparel could furnish another woman to enter or return to the workplace, make a great first impression and land a job that could change her life.
Donation Guidelines:
– All clothing must be professional & interview appropriate
– Clean & laundered
– In new or like-new condition
– Currently in style (no more than 5 years old)
– Shoes, handbags & accessories should be wiped clean & in new or like-new condition
Clothing items accepted include:
– Professional clothing: pants & skirt suits, dresses, blouses, blazers, cardigans, pant & skirt separates.
– Accessories: dress shoes, handbags/wallets, jewellery, belts, hair & neck scarves, etc.
– Undergarments: shapewear, tights & stockings, bras, underwear & socks (all undergarments must be new)
– Toiletries: shampoo, condition, body & face wash/lotion, deodorant, perfume, toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream, period products (all toiletries must be new & unopened)
– Cosmetics: eyes, cheeks, lips, face, brushes, bags, remover & hair tools/products (all cosmetics must be new & unopened)
Dress for Success will NOT accept:
– Anything out of current style (more than five years old)
– Evening, bridal or formal wear
– Used undergarments
– Opened toiletries or cosmetics
– Housewares
Not exactly sure if what you’ve got fits the bill? No problem, we are happy to go through your donations for you!!
We KNOW some winter items are sitting in your closets that haven’t been touched all season… or some spring/summer you haven’t looked at since 2022 (yes, we’re looking at you!!) give your closet a clear-out bring us your treasures, donation deadline is February 21st, 2024.
